Norton is the product of Symantec in which you already have it

If the Symantec antivirus you're mentioning happens to be the one that can be found in preloaded versions of Windows OS, then just let it run until it expires, which should be 30 days after installation. Symantec is Norton, so don't need to worry about it.

Below are additional information that you may or may not consider reading.

You can consider free anti-virus tools as said by other contributors, but if you would like to consider commercial anti-virus softwares, you can do a bit of research about antiviruses. In terms of usability and performance look at users' opinions about products in sites like PCWorld or CNET Download.com (links provided below). If you are the kind who prefers superior security, try researching more with sites like AV-Test, where test results on on-demand scanning, scanning rate, proactive detection and more can be found.

Windows Defender is a fine anti-spyware tool with its own real-time protection. Ad-Aware SE, though weaker than its descendant Ad-Aware 2007 in terms of detection and has already not been supported (you can still get definition files online and install them manually), is also another fine anti-spyware tool. You can try other anti-spyware tools like Spyware Terminator, SpywareBlaster (real-time protection tool), Spybot Search %26 Destroy and SUPERAntiSpyware, which are by far some of the well-known softwares I've heard so far.
