Booting becoming slow?

Hi to all....

I am having Toshiba dynabook laptap. At first, booting is very fast. After that, i installed some softwares. Now, booting is taking so much of time.

Is there anyway to fasten the booting time and which software is taking long time to start etc and i am using antivirus (McAfee) also..

Thanks in advance to everybody...

It looks like you may have to do a Disk Defragment on it to make it faster again.

Defragmentation will for sure decrease the bootup time, as it optimizes the position of various windows boot files so that are fastly accessed during boot time.

Also, you acn remove some start up programs from msconfig's last TAB, remove any starting software which you think you normally don't use...
