My internet browser closes automatically as soon as I go to a website...?

I am running XP, IE7, this hasn't happened before. However before this happened I did go online without a firewall or antivirus on my computer. I'm sure it's a type of spyware but I downloaded quite a few antispyware software and nothing worked. My antivirus AVG doesn't detect anything, neither does NOD32. Any one else had this problem? What software can I use to delete the virus/spyware? Thanks

Disable the addons in IE and fix registry errors
Run your anti spyware AND anti virus while your computer is offline. Actually unplug the cable from the computer (if you have a connection like DSL that is always on). I would even go so far as to run the computer in SAFE mode while running the anti spyware/virus.

Can't Compose, Reply, or Forward in Yahoo! Mail? HELP!?

I'm looking for some help from people who have this problem. I don't actually have the problem, otherwise I would have solved it already. I need help from other users who do.

The issue is that in the Yahoo! Mail client, you cannot compose, reply, or forward messages. The buttons will not work and you do not have a text box to type the message body. Often, you will see a script error in the bottom left hand corner of the Internet Explorer browser.

Please try the following steps one at a time and let me know which resolves the issue:

1. Temporarily and completely disable antivirus.

2. Temporarily and completely disable firewall (both hardware and software).

3. Temporarily and completely disable any antispy software.

4. Run a complete antivirus/antispy scan and remove any infections found.

5. Update Java Virtual Machine.

6. Disable browser add-ons.

7. Lower internet security settings in Internet Explorer.

I got this spyware yesterday when i downloaded a file and opened it. It was around 500 kb in size . I opened a command prompt screen and then just closed after showing sometext .

Now i get adware saying my PC is infected with different adwares , spywares and viruses . They link takes me to http://www.savetheinformation.com . I have to pay to buy their software .I know that this is one of their marketing techniques. Please help me in getting rid of this threat.

This is not a problem at all. Here's what you need to do.

1st, don't waste your time with AVG, true sword, spybot, ad aware, CA, spyhunter, superantispyware, avast, panda, kaspersky, spyware blaster, bitdefender, spyware guard, windows defender or anything of the sort. Stay away from anything that is FREE when it comes to spyware and antivirus. There is a reason why they free. They are NOT good.

2nd, You need some of the best software out there. Norton Systemworks is very good. That's the only good software from Norton. I wouldn't recommend Norton Internet security, its not that great. Now the best software you should get is Webroot AntiVirus With AntiSpyware %26 Firewall, formally known as Webroot's Spysweeper with Anti-virus, this software is too good and gets better everyday. might be some important system files are infected with virus, sometimes its not possible to recover infected files.

Best option is u take the backup of ur important data and then format and reinstall ur computer.

OK several things to try...

Boot up in Safe Mode, Run MSCONFIG and disable ALL start up items. Reboot.

Download HijackThis and scan the computer, use google to check each item it finds on the start up list.

Download Ad-Aware and Spybot and try to run them (thin line between Virus and spyware)

Check the Windows\system32 directory (Showing all files). Sort by date, the most recent files should be the wpa files, maybe a couple of perflibs. Anything else with todays date should be seen as suspicious!!

Most AV programs will not install in Safe Mode (they require Windows Installer Service), however AVAST will install. Boot into Safe Mode with networking, download and install. The scanner runs on reboot, it is very slow because it is not running in Windows, but it usually finds the nasties!!

Finally, Trend Micro have an online scanner, that might run.

I have been told that it may be a software conflict.I have nortons antivirus, winows messenger and yahoo, I have nero and I have incredimail and outlook.
