I've just downloaded this codec from http://play.divocodec.com because it is required to play a video file (avi extension) I downloaded using a P2P software. I'm not sure if it is safe because AVG detected a threat called Downloader.Swizzor when I run the setup file. The setup failed. The reason given was that a program on my computer has prevented Divocodec from being correctly installed. The message further says, "We can assure you that our software is not harmful in any way and you can easily uninstall DivoCodec at any time." (Yeah right... My antivirus has just detected a threat from your setup file.). Anyway, I am eager to watch the video. So, I terminated AVG antivirus, disabled my firewall and other security-related processes but the setup still failed. Help? I really want to watch this video.

Get revo uninstaller, and get rid of this codec., also scan with your anti-spy and anti-virus in safe mode., after thats done go to download.com and get the xvid codec., its what I use on my pc and so far no problams., good luck with your problam.,
