Need help pleas?

ok hear goes..... i rebooted my whole computer last week,wiped it clean and started fresh.. after doing tht got tied up doing other stuff and never got around to installing any anti virus

wet ot andcame home to find my boyfriend downloaing his music albums on utorrents......remember i had NO ANTI VIRUS! or any security software for that mater...oops

since then i have been continuosly getting pop ups on explora and cant find a way of stopping them. comp is also running alot slower. ive deleated the files he downloaded and ran mcaffee antivirus but no viruses were detected and my comp is doing my head in now with pop ups. i really dont wnt to have to re-boot the whole thing again what shall i do ?????

I think you don't have any choices but to reformat %26 reinstall OS again. Having anti virus and other security apps don't mean your PC will be 100% safe, now you don't have any %26 your boyfriend install utorrents, the den of viruses. May be you can remove the virus with the anti virus app you install recently, but what about the damage that was already done. It's better to reformat %26 reinstall again to remove the problems

ok, you need some anti-spyware/adware and get a program called HitmanPro to clean some files.
