Spyware or Virus with the signs ~$ ? 2nd try.?

Spyware or Virus with the signs ~$ ?

Tried to search online, but found nothing! "something" on my computer copies my files and often change some of the letters in the filename with the signs ~$.

Anyone know about this? Or is it just part of some regular program or software?

It copies word documents, photofiles and more following my recent activities.. None of the antispyare or antivirus I've tried found anything. (Ad-Aware SE, AVG Anti Spyware, AVG 7, 5, Microsoft firewall and scan for virus, E-Trust pestscan)

Are you sure that it's not the backup of files? I've never heard of this before, but I think I've seen files with ~$ and they're just backup files (I'm thinking Microsoft Word here).

I would highly recommend visiting www.majorgeeks.com - they've helped me with my computer problems before, very knowledgable and helpful. You may have to provide a little more detail or the name of a specific file, but they should be able to help you.

Good luck! :)

That isn't spyware or a virus. That is your computer showing you what is being stored in your cache.
