Will windows defender work ok along side Mcafee security ?

I have Mcafee antivirus, firewall and the usual security things that come with it, but i want to get windows new software that combats spyware called "windows defender", does anyone know if this will work in harmony ?. (ps i have a wireless internet connection, just putting that in)

Yes it should do; Defender is anti spyware and doesn't conflict with anti virus.

it should be okay just configure allowed programs and start up programs when prompted word of warning to many antivrus will cause conflict i run ntl net gurad with defender no probs

Yeah, it will be OK. You face compatibility problems with anti-virus, not anti-spyware.
try using free anti virus with mcafee like ad aware ewido but I use mcafee on its own and it serves me well but sometimes my homepage is hijacked so I search in safe mode to remove the blighters I see no reason it will not work though but it will slow you down and maybe cost you a bit more
I run Mcafee security suite, and windows defender antispyware. Never had any problems.

I also use ad-aware and spybot, two free antispyware programs. Again, no problems.
probably not, most programs like that see each other as a virus.
