Can you help? My computer freezes, restarts, or switches off.?

What happens is this. My computer either:

- freezes after a few minutes of being switched on (only sometimes using it and not leaving it idle for more than 5 minutes stops it from freezing)

- randomly restarts

- switches off, and then it does not switch on, unless I remove the power plug from the mains for at least 5 or 6 seconds.

Within last few months I had professionals trying to sort it out - the fan replaced for a bigger one, a new motherboard, a new HD and new DVD drives (software using those drives for longer period of time has also the tendency to freeze). I have my Norton Antivirus up to date.

What can be the cause of the problem and how can I sort it out without just pouring more money into it? Please help.

could be a bad memory module or power supply ... theres not too many things left lol ... does it do it from a fresh windows install?

You need to go to this website. Download System Mechanic 6 Professional. Once oyu have installed it, restart your pc. Once that is done you will need to run Drivescrubbe2. Once that is done you will need to restart your pc again. After that is done that should fix your problem.
try to reinstall your windows
this was happening to me too and i had norton too the pc shop added another anti virus called adware and my problems vanished.it cost only 拢15 for 4mths then it will ask me to upgrade.its worked for me,goodluck
I would suggest reinstalling Windows and find yourself a different Anti-virus program.If you didn't do a clean install,by clean I mean reformat the HD you might want to try that before replacing anything else.
get this download it all burn on the cd then remove the net from your pc install this then load the pc in safemode %26 run the scan with them all 1 at a time
