How can i stop pop-ups & virus pop ups?

okay its not for me but on my mums computer she constantly gets pop ups about poker and free stuff, is there anyway to stop this?

there was also a porn pop up the other day which worried my mum as my 10 yr old sister uses her computer, AND NO no-one goes on porn sites on my mums comp.

also how can i get i get rid of viruses?? my mums virus software says there is constantly viruses that it cant fix

what you need to do is find a program that will scan your computer for the viruses and if its really bad you NEED to call you internet service provider or who ever you got you rcomputer from and they should be able to help you

I would suggest to start by running an Anti-Adware software on the computer. In my experience, AdAware and SpyBot are the best choices. You should run both, since they are good at different things. Both are free to use.
